I'm cruising fast,
with upright mast,
towards the river of tomorrow
one dip may,
cleanse away all the sorrow;
of my today,
of my past.
stagnant waters of the past,
vapid thoughts of decay;
quickly give way,
to infallible aspiration,
the adjuration for ablution.
the aspirations untold,
for a resurgent hope,
for a resurrected soul.
The untethered sea roars
like a brutal hound's bay,
illusions give way,
to reality
to mortality
to the stormy savage sea,
of today
each whipping wave,
lacerates my existence;
each effort of persistence,
leaves a mark behind,
on my body,
on my mind
my mind wonders
as i wriggle with pain;
why,This sea of today,
so asinine,
so insane,
lies ahead of the river of tomorrow?
so pristine,
so arcane.
a mirage thou must be
o river of tomorrow
as in this stormy sea
no end i can see
to my misery
to my sorrow
turbulence and trepidation
rescind,
as the lightening flashes,
across the sea,
across my mind.
mind jolts back to realism
illusions slowly fade
river of tomorrow
you are a mere facade
from creation to cremation
I shall call this sea my home
never will come tomorrow
never will that river flow.
This is a masterpeice! :)
