sits a sunkissed frog
On shores of a lake,
suddenly his visons fog,
as he spots a snake
overpowered by fright
he plunges into watery drain
to preordain
that he shall see tomorrow's light
he will come out
again
roams a troubled man
on shores of the same lake,
Heartbroken by pain,
A decision he wants to make
Overpowered by sorrow,
he plunges in self disdain;
he burries his tomorrow,
into the watery drain,
he will come out,
never again.
same plunge
may support
may expunge
the persistence for existence
same water
shows light,
for the smarter.
kills light,
for the departer.
My dear man, this is just magnificent!!!
ReplyDeleteFirstly, conceiving such a thought itself is quite a wondrous feat. And the way you expressed it, with such an economy of words; and inspite of that, not missing a vital cog. Kudos! And the icing on the cake being the rhyming scheme.
Keep Writing :)

Hello, Abhishek!
ReplyDeleteFirst time here!
Amazing concept, I must say. Too good!
I think the difference in different actions stems from the fact that humans, in addition to survival, also aspire for pleasure.
Really well-written!
Take care.
